Christmas

Christmas has come and gone. I never much like the after-Christmas period - it all feels like such a letdown! Steve and I had a great couple of days - family on Christmas Eve (lots of good food and good fun), more family on Christmas Day (nice and low-key...we spent most of the day watching Christmas movies and playing Harry Potter Clue at my parents' house), and a lovely, relaxing Boxing Day. Now Steve is back at work and I am at home thinking about how I don't want to go back to work. Holidays sure can spoil a girl!

We had our first OB appointment on Dec. 23. According to Dr. Ford, everything looks good!

This is our first picture of Bean. Head is on the left side and there's a foot sticking up in the air - either a football player or a dancer! We've decided we're not going find out if Bean is a boy or a girl. Surprises are good!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that the New Year is good to you all.

Christmas News

Well, we are about 10 weeks pregnant! We found out right before Thanksgiving and have slowly been spreading the news. Now it's very public and very official. I've managed to get all of my Christmas shopping done (this is probably the last year I'll get to say that before Christmas Eve) and the presents are wrapped and under the tree.
School is done until January, so I am using these three weeks to rest and relax - a no-stress Christmas! Steve is working through to Christmas Eve, so I've got the house to myself. I only have to share with the cat and the dog.
Thanksgiving was fun. We had the family over to our house and I cooked. Everyone ate all the food and took leftovers home, so I think they enjoyed it.
We'll be home for Christmas, so any Cleburne people who are around should come by!
