I am procrastinating. I should be finding wonderful information to impart to my students, but instead I am writing this. The winter break has ended much too fast, considering I spent most of it on the sofa feeling very, VERY ill. Pregnancy is great, but morning (and afternoon, evening, and night) sickness ain't.
I don't really have much to say because not much is happening here. The trees outside are covered in ice, which is lovely to look at, but not great to be out in.
Steve is currently on his hands and knees putting handles on the kitchen cabinets. After over a year of no handles, this makes a change. He's excited about everything that is going on and will make a great poppa.
We bought a car over the weekend and I finally traded in my lovely high school car - the red Dodge Stratus. What a beauty. I was sad to see her go, but then I look at the Equinox sitting in the driveway and I think "What Stratus?"
We ushered 2009 in with little fanfare and no pomp. It was more a case of wondering if we could stay up until midnight. We managed to, but by 12:05 we were in bed. I guess we're getting old.
That's it. Classes start next week, so the rush is on to get everything together and to use the copier without anyone breathing down your neck. It won't happen.
