Fourth of July

Emerson celebrated his first Fourth of July this weekend. We had lunch with Grammy and Granddaddy (and tried on Granddaddy's World Cup hat for size). Then we braved the Hill College parking lot and watched the fireworks. Last year Leo joined us for the event, but this year we got to bring Emerson instead! He wasn't bothered by the bangs, didn't really care about the bright and shiny things in the sky, but loved watching the kids there run around and around. Next year he'll be joining them!

Where did my lunch go?

There it is!

Not too impressed with Granddaddy.

If the hat goes on backwards, lunch can be eaten.
(I think I got that in a fortune cookie once.)

Waiting for the fireworks to start.

Still waiting.

More interested in Mummy's keys than the fireworks.

Ready for the Fourth of July - decked out in red, white, and blue. Even the sippie cup matches!
