The piano has been the discovery of the month.
The summer flew by (as it tends to do). I'm sure it was only May yesterday! But, alas, it is September and I am back in school. Emerson is wearing his Grammy out during the week. I'm not sure who is more exhausted by the end of the day!
Emerson now has two bottom teeth, one upper, and one poking through any day now. He likes to wave bye-bye to his Daddy, dance along with Yo Gabba Gabba and anything vaguely musical, play his guitar, sing, run, torment the cat, and generally be a happy kid.

Happy - playing peekaboo with his sippie cup

Not happy - Mum took the remote away. And then took his picture. Double unhappy.

Happy. A guitar - late birthday present.
Cute story - Emerson was watching Yo Gabba Gabba at his Grammy and Granddaddy's house and Muno (one of the characters) appeared onscreen with a guitar. Emerson got all excited and said, "DADDY!!" Not because his father is a big red pickle, but because he plays the guitar, just like Muno. This kid is smart.

Muno and the guitar.

Emerson in his Muno tribute outfit, remote in hand (ready to crank the volume)
Lots of words - Daddy is the favorite (he runs through the house calling for Daddy)
Cat, dog, Mummy, up, gabba gabba
He is always talking, I just can't understand his language yet.

Bathtime - what a change from a year ago!

The little monster after a bath.

4pm and still in pajamas - he is his mother's son!

This just makes me laugh. He's just so excited about the guitar, dinner, and life.
